Idle No More calls on all people to join in a revolution which honors and fulfills Indigenous sovereignty which protects the land and water. Colonization continues through attacks to Indigenous rights and damage to the land and water. We must repair these violations, live the spirit and intent of the treaty relationship, work towards justice in action, and protect Mother Earth.
As a Canadian I find it an abomination that our Federal Government would try and break the treaty with our Frist Nations and Indigenous People. I also demand that PM Harper meet with Chief Spence and any other Chief that wished his presence. Harper has a duty to meet with our First Nations and to uphold the Treaties negotiated in good faith and signed by both Nations. Any part of the Treaties that has been taken away from the Frist Nations in the past should be restored immediately.
